The Workforce Development team works across all departments to support strategic fundraising at BAYADA. We seek new funding opportunities and support existing relationships between BAYADA and regional, national, public, and private funders. The Workforce Development team leads prospective funder research, identification and assessment of funding opportunities, pitch development, grant reporting, project research and development, and proposal writing and submissions. Reporting to the Division Director and Director of Workforce Development, the Grant Writer serves as a critical point of coordination and operational support for BAYADA’s Workforce Development team, practice staff, and executive leadership. We expect the Grant Writer to collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute as needed to execute the team’s goals and deliverables. The Grant Writer will bring a commitment to spanersity, equity, and inclusion, and will be excited to work in an impact-oriented and highly collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Pitch and Win Secure at least $1 million in new funding over a 12-month period, using a strategic mix of programmatic options, constituents, and geographies to meet the win target Lead writing and submission of proposals by developing proposal elements and supporting materials, tracking against proposal deadlines, and orchestrating internal and external stakeholders Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement Build trust and rapport with colleagues across the organization as well as external stakeholders Organize and facilitate meetings of spanerse stakeholders to define project objectives, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables in support of organizational and practice goals Develop, manage, and communicate project expectations, updates, and milestones across key internal and external stakeholders Prospect Management & Research Support prospect research efforts by conducting research on potential public and private funders at the national, state, and local levels Support efforts to craft agendas and conduct strategic meetings with prospects Assist with preparing outreach briefing materials to funders and donors, synthesizing information from research and BAYADA practice teams
